National Australia Bank (NAB) announced on Monday the resignation of Nathan Goonan from his role as Group Chief Financial Officer amid broader leadership changes within the executive team.

Goonan, who assumed the CFO position in July 2023, previously served as Group Executive for Strategy and Development, having spent nearly 15 years at the bank. NAB stated that Sean Dooley, the current Group Chief Risk Officer, will step in as interim CFO while the search for a permanent replacement is underway.

In addition to the CFO transition, the bank also announced that Rachel Slade, Group Executive for Business and Private Banking, will depart NAB on July 1. She will be succeeded by Andrew Orbach, a Canadian banker specializing in business and wealth management.
