Sydney man faces court for alleged knife attack at bus stop

A young Sydney man is facing a raft of serious charges after he allegedly stabbed two other men at a bus stop in the city’s far north.

The police allege a 21-year-old man pulled a knife on two men, aged 26 and 42, at a Mona Vale bus stop on Barrenjoey Rd just after 7pm and slashed them.

The two men suffered cuts to their hands and paramedics took them to Northern Beaches Hospital for further treatment.

Northern Beaches Police Area Command officers arrested four men, aged 18, 20, 21 and 22 nearby the alleged altercation

The police took the 21-year-old Punchbowl to Manly Police Station where he allegedly threatened officers.

The other three men have been released “pending further investigations,” the police said on Sunday morning.

The 21-year-old man has been hit with multiple charges including two counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and intimidate a police officer in execution of duty without actual bodily harm.

The man will appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.
